#VoicesofJAF – December 20th – Patricia Mason-Guillory

December 20, 2015 by Kat Krieger

“A task was given to me. That task became a challenge. That challenge became my passion. My passion for honoring all military men and women.” -Pat Mason-Guillory

Pat Mason-Guillory has dedicated her life to supporting America’s military and their families. Pat was spurred to action when her son joined Operation Desert Storm in 1990. She first founded Mothers Against Saddam Hussein (MASH), sending weekly care packages to hundreds of troops and supporting their families. When the first soldier from Landry Parish was killed, Pat sought to honor these fallen heroes. She founded the Landry Parish Veterans Memorial and built it brick by brick. Pat is also a dedicated lifetime teacher and still sits on the board of the St. Landry Parish School District. For over 25 years, Pat has supported military families and rallied her community to pay homage to America’s military heroes.

Help us celebrate more stories like Pat’s and pay homage to all those who serve.
